The commitments

What we will never do.

A platform that holds a fourteen-year-old's aspirations for eight years has to be trustworthy by construction, not by promise. This page is the construction.

Read the labels on this page carefully

Navture is pre-launch. It has no users, no product in the field, and therefore almost no controls that are operating today. Every item below is marked either Planned for launch or In place. Where something is planned, it is described as planned — because writing an unbuilt safeguard in the present tense is the precise failure this page exists to prevent.

We re-audit these labels at every release. If one of them is ever wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

The business model

Six refusals that shape everything else.

These are not values. They are constraints on what the company is allowed to build and how it is allowed to make money. Each one closes a revenue door that competitors leave open.
  • No advertising

There will be no advertising on Navture, in any form — no banners, no sponsored pathways, no promoted institutions, no affiliate placement dressed as a recommendation. Attention is not the product, and a platform funded by attention would have to start manufacturing it.

    Planned for launch

  • No paid placement in recommendations

No institution, employer or coaching provider will be able to pay to appear in a student’s roadmap or in what the Navigator surfaces. Revenue mechanisms are being kept structurally separate from recommendation logic, so that the separation is architectural rather than a policy someone could quietly relax.

    Planned for launch

  • No sale of student data

Student data will not be sold, rented, or licensed — not to institutions, not to employers, not to data brokers, and not in an aggregated form that could be re-identified. Aggregate, de-identified insight may be used to improve the Future Graph itself, and that use will be disclosed.

    Planned for launch

  • No engagement dark patterns

No streaks, no leaderboards, no artificial scarcity, no countdowns, no notification pressure, no “students like you are already ahead”. Pressure tactics in a high-stakes decision are harmful, and a product that needs them is optimising for the wrong thing.

    Planned for launch

  • No deterministic verdicts

The system will not tell a student what they should become. Every roadmap carries at least one alternative alongside the primary, no pathway is ever removed from a student’s reach, and the Navigator is constrained at the model-orchestration layer from phrasing a recommendation as an instruction.

    Planned for launch

  • No peer comparison

What other students explore will never influence what any individual student is shown. Platform popularity is explicitly excluded from the recommendation signal hierarchy — not down-weighted, excluded.

    Planned for launch

Navture will be paid for by the people who use it — never by anyone who wants access to them.

Privacy and the DPDP Act

India’s data law, in plain language.

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act sets a deliberately high bar for processing a child's data. Below is what each requirement means in practice, and how Navture intends to meet it.
  • Consent before processing

Nothing is processed on implied consent. Consent is captured before any personal data is used, and the request explains in plain language what is being agreed to.

    Planned for launch

  • Age verification

Date of birth is collected at registration so that the under-18 consent flow can be triggered where it applies.

    Planned for launch

  • Verifiable parental consent for under-18s

For a student under 18, a parent or guardian must complete a multi-step verification — including a phone OTP and name confirmation — before longitudinal memory, simulations or account creation are enabled. The consent record is stored with a timestamp, and it can be withdrawn at any time.

    Planned for launch

  • Purpose limitation

Data is used for the stated navigation and personalisation purposes only. No secondary commercial use.

    Planned for launch

  • Data minimisation

Only what the navigation function actually needs is collected. No speculative collection against a future feature.

    Planned for launch

  • Erasure within 30 days

A deletion request results in complete deletion within 30 days, with written confirmation issued. Access and correction are available at any time and applied immediately.

    Planned for launch

  • No cross-border transfer without a legal basis

Personal data will not be transferred outside India without explicit consent and an explicit legal basis.

    Planned for launch

This page is a statement of intent, written by the team building the product. It is not legal advice, and it is not a privacy notice — that lives at /privacy.

Security posture

The boring parts, stated openly.

  • AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit

With end-to-end encryption for session transcripts, which are the most sensitive thing the platform will ever hold.

    Planned for launch

  • OTP-based passwordless authentication

No password for a fourteen-year-old to reuse from somewhere else. Short-lived session tokens, with role-based access enforced at the API layer and an audit log for sensitive access.

    Planned for launch

  • Annual third-party penetration testing

Plus a responsible-disclosure programme, and input sanitisation and system-prompt hardening specifically against prompt injection and jailbreak attempts.

    Planned for launch

  • A documented incident response protocol

With defined service levels: a P0 security incident responded to within one hour, affected people notified within 72 hours, and a post-incident review within five days.

How AI features get approved

Five questions every feature must answer.

Before any new AI feature or significant model change is deployed, it has to pass an ethics review. A feature that cannot answer these does not ship, regardless of what it would do for the numbers.

The review

  1. Bias assessment. Does this behave equitably across gender, caste and socioeconomic background — and can we show it, not assume it?
  2. Manipulation risk. Could this be used to pressure a student, or to manufacture engagement?
  3. Autonomy preservation. Does the student still make the decision afterwards?
  4. Data minimisation. Does this need everything it asks for?
  5. Dependency risk. Could a student come to rely on this in a way that is bad for them?

Planned for launch

Who reviews it

A quarterly external ethics advisory panel — child psychologists and education policy experts from outside the company — reviews the platform’s behaviour and the decisions taken since the last sitting. An internal AI safety review runs monthly between panels.

An external panel is only worth having if it can say no and be listened to. The panel’s remit and its findings will be published.

Planned for launch

The panel has not yet been convened and no members have been appointed. We will name them here once they have agreed to serve, and not before.

Where the AI stops

It is an AI, and it will say so.

AI identity disclosure

The Navigator is transparently an AI at all times. Asked sincerely whether it is human, it answers honestly. It is warm, and it remembers — and it is consistently clear that it is a navigation tool rather than a counsellor or a friend, because the alternative invites a dependency that is not good for a fifteen-year-old.

Planned for launch

When a student is in distress

If a session shows signs of serious distress, the session pauses. The student is compassionately redirected to a professional helpline, and the platform does not attempt to address a clinical concern itself.

Emotional safety here is a design philosophy, not a clinical function. Navture is not a therapy service and will not behave like one — the most responsible thing an education product can do at that moment is stop and hand over.

Planned for launch

The specific helplines will be named on this page before the feature ships. It will not go out with an unnamed destination.

Straight answers

The six questions people actually ask.

Is Navture available to use today?
No. Navture is pre-launch. There is no product to sign up to, no free tier, and no pilot running. This website exists to explain what is being built and to let people register interest.
Will Navture ever tell my child what career to choose?
No. The system is constrained so that it cannot issue a definitive recommendation framed as what a student should do, cannot compare a student to their peers, and cannot present a single path as the correct one. Every roadmap carries at least one alternative alongside the primary.
Can a parent read their child’s sessions?
No. Parents will receive a curated summary of where exploration is heading and visibility of milestones reached — not session transcripts. A student who is being read over the shoulder stops exploring honestly, which is what makes the guidance work in the first place.
Will student data be sold or used for advertising?
No. There will be no advertising on the platform and no sale of student data in any form, including aggregated forms that could be re-identified. Aggregate, de-identified insight may be used to improve the underlying knowledge graph, and that use will be disclosed.
Will the AI ever pretend to be a human counsellor?
No. The Navigator is disclosed as an AI at all times and is constrained from claiming to be human when sincerely asked. It is also constrained from providing anything that functions as mental health counselling.
What happens if a student is in distress?
The session pauses and the student is compassionately redirected to a professional helpline. Navture treats emotional safety as a design philosophy, not as a clinical function, and does not attempt to address clinical concerns itself.

Hold us to this.

This page is public so that it can be checked against what we actually ship. If something here stops being true, it is a bug in the company, not a change of strategy.
